Overview
Enfield Falls is a historic rapid section on the Connecticut River between Enfield, Suffield, and Windsor Locks — the shallows that forced construction of the 1829 Windsor Locks Canal. The failed timber Enfield Dam still breaks the water. View from the Windsor Locks Canal State Park Trail (5.5 mi rail-trail). No swimming in the main channel — current and debris.
