At a glance
Overview
Spruce Brook carves a ravine through the Naugatuck State Forest West Block with six drops, including a 15 ft plunge and a 40 ft tributary fall. The 1.3 mi Spruce Brook Loop follows the stream. August 2024 floods washed out bridges and scoured the parking area — scrambling is tougher than the map suggests.
