Gorham · Windham, Maine
An informal Presumpscot River swimming hole downstream of Babb's Bridge on the Gorham / Windham line.
At a glance
Overview
Babb's Bridge is a covered bridge over the Presumpscot River on the Gorham / Windham line, with an informal swimming hole and rope-swing stretch downstream of the bridge. Local coverage consistently warns against jumping from the bridge itself and notes periodic law-enforcement patrols. The pool swims well in summer, but the spot is neighborhood-scale, not a park.
