Flagstaff Lake is the large Dead River impoundment at the foot of the Bigelow Range in Franklin County, near Stratton and Eustis. Public shoreline access is via a handful of boat landings and beaches along Route 16 and Route 27. Cold deep water, open exposure, and real wind; the Long Falls Dam waterfall rows at the outlet are a separate feature.
