Kineo public beach (Rockwood)
Rockwood, Maine
Small Rockwood town-access beach on Moosehead Lake, across from Mount Kineo. Cold water and minimal amenities.
At a glance
Overview
The Kineo public beach is a small stretch of sand on the Rockwood shoreline of Moosehead Lake, directly across the narrows from Mount Kineo. It is a town-style access point, not a state park, so amenities are minimal and the water is classic cold Moosehead. Check local signage for parking limits before walking to the sand.
