Mooselookmeguntic Lake is one of the larger lakes in the Rangeley chain, straddling Rangeley Plantation and Township C / Adamstown in Franklin and Oxford counties. Public access is limited; the most reliable points are the state boat launch at Haines Landing in Oquossoc and the Mooselookmeguntic House / town-supported access on the eastern shore. The water is deep and cold even in August.
