Overview
Pushaw Lake is a large shallow lake north of Bangor and Orono in Penobscot County, with several town and state public landings around its shore. It is a popular University of Maine summer lake, good for casual swims from the landings and paddling, not a remote wilderness scene. The water warms earlier than the deep Highlands lakes.
