Schoodic Point (Acadia)
Winter Harbor, Maine
Acadia NP's rocky ocean headland on the Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor, Maine. Viewing only, not a swim.
At a glance
Overview
Schoodic Point is the rocky Atlantic headland at the end of the Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor, within Acadia National Park's mainland district. It is ocean-surf country on granite ledges, not a calm swim spot. Rogue waves and slick rock are the real hazards; treat it as a viewing and photography stop, not a wade.
