At a glance
Overview
West Grand Lake is one of the large border-country lakes in Washington County, with the village of Grand Lake Stream at its outlet and public boat landings spaced along the east shore. It is a classic Downeast sporting lake: cold, deep, and big enough to run heavy weather in an afternoon. Swim from the landings, not from open-water camps.
