Overview
Big Ambejackmockamus Falls is a cascade on the West Branch of the Penobscot River in T3 R11 WELS, along the Golden Road corridor south of Baxter State Park. The river here is broad, fast, and cold, with dam-fed releases from the Ripogenus watershed above. Treat it as a scenic river stop and photography pull-off, not a wade or swim.

Getting there
From Millinocket, take the Golden Road west along the West Branch Penobscot toward the Ripogenus / Abol Bridge stretch and use the nearest pull-off at the mapped coordinates. The Golden Road is a privately maintained logging corridor; yield to timber traffic and stay well back from the river edge.
