A ledge drop in the Royal River mill corridor in downtown Yarmouth, Maine. Short-walk village viewing stop, not a swim.
At a glance
Overview
Four Falls is part of the small Royal River ledge and cascade sequence in downtown Yarmouth, in the old mill corridor off Bridge Street. The drop is a short-walk village viewing stop rather than a swim, and the immediate banks have mill ruins and footpaths. Flow is steady but not dramatic; the rock near the water is slick.

Getting there
From Route 88 / Main Street in downtown Yarmouth, work toward the Royal River crossings near Bridge Street and the East Elm / Route 1 corridor, then use nearby public street parking to walk down to the river. Mill-era paths give short views of the ledges; railings and wet rock are the main hazards.
