At a glance
Overview
Hadlock Falls is a tall cascade on Maple Spring Brook in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, in the Hadlock Pond area of Hancock County. The Waterfall Bridge on the park's Around Mountain carriage road frames the falls, and most visitors see it from the stone-arch bridge during a carriage-road walk or bike. Flow is seasonal: it is most impressive in spring and after rain, and can reduce to a trickle in a dry summer.
