Overview
Katahdin Stream Falls is a landmark cascade on the Hunt Trail, which is also the Appalachian Trail's approach to Katahdin's summit, in Baxter State Park. The falls sit a short distance above Katahdin Stream Campground and are a classic short-hike destination for visitors not climbing to Baxter Peak. Flow is strong in spring and after rain; rock is slick year-round.

Getting there
Enter Baxter State Park through the Togue Pond gate and drive the Park Tote Road to Katahdin Stream Campground. From the day-use lot, follow the Hunt Trail / AT a short distance up to the signed spur for the falls.
