Lower Bickford Slide is the bottom step in the Bickford Slides chain on Bickford Brook in Lovell, on the Maine side of Evans Notch. It is a slickrock slide and small pool, reached as a short side detour off the Bickford Brook Trail system. The ledge is genuinely slippery and has been the site of serious falls; treat it as a look, not a ride.

Getting there
From Route 113 in Evans Notch, use the Brickett Place / Bickford Brook trailhead on the Maine side and follow the Bickford Brook / Blueberry Ridge trail system to the lower slide side path. The side trail is short but the ledge at the slide is slick.
