At a glance
Overview
Mahoosuc Notch Falls is a small cascade on a brook in the Mahoosuc Notch area of Upton, Oxford County, deep in the Mahoosuc Range on the Maine side of the AT. The notch itself is famous as the slowest AT mile in Maine and the falls are a minor feature along that corridor. Access is long and rugged; this is a hiker stop, not a road-trip waterfall.

Getting there
Reached along the AT through Mahoosuc Notch; approaches are from Success Pond Road (NH side) or Grafton Notch / Success Pond access (ME side). The notch is a slow, boulder-choked scramble; plan a full day.
