At a glance
Overview
Ticonic Falls is the historic ledge drop on the Kennebec River between Waterville and Winslow, now heavily modified by the Lockwood Dam and the adjacent fishway. It is a city-river viewpoint with industrial history (mills, the Two-Cent Bridge nearby), not a swim. Spring smelt and alewife runs draw watchers at the fishway.
