The Becket Historic Quarry & Forest is a 300-acre Becket Land Trust property with about 7 miles of trails and a flooded historic granite quarry at its center. It is a hiking and history site, not a swim hole — swimming and cliff diving in the quarry pit are strictly prohibited. The quarry contains submerged equipment and downed trees with zero visibility.

Getting there
From Route 8 in Becket, follow Yokum Pond Road to Quarry Road. The Becket Land Trust lot has a ranger attendant in summer. From the lot, the main trail to the quarry is about 0.5 miles; longer loops branch off through the 300-acre forest.
