At a glance
Overview
The Buck River swim hole sits right off Route 57 in Sandisfield, between the town hall and the post office, on a narrow strip of conservancy land. The main feature is a 12-foot natural rock slide into a pool about 7 feet deep; a smaller 6-foot slide is upstream. It is an unofficial site — no lifeguards, no facilities, and parking is a small gravel pull-off on the north side of the bridge.
