At a glance
Overview
The Green River Swimming & Recreation Area is Greenfield's town swim park on the Green River, off Nash's Mill Road / Green River Road. A stone dam pools the river for a sand-and-rock beach; lifeguards are on duty in the posted summer season. A gate attendant collects a parking / admission fee in-season. Picnic tables, a small playground, and a deeper swim section downstream of the dam make it a classic Pioneer Valley family day.
