At a glance
Overview
Houghton's Pond is the main swim beach inside DCR's Blue Hills Reservation in Milton — a staffed sand beach with a bathhouse, picnic grove, ballfields, and a short perimeter path. Lifeguards work Memorial Day–Labor Day, and the big paved lot off Hillside Street fills on summer weekends. The reservation's trail network (including the Houghton's Pond Loop) starts from the same area. DEP cyano advisories have closed the beach in past summers; confirm before a swim day.
