Lake Dennison Recreation Area is a DCR day-use and camping park on an 85-acre lake in Winchendon, inside the Birch Hill Flood Control Project and adjacent to Otter River State Forest. The lifeguarded beach is open mid-May through early September, roughly 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Day-use parking is $8 MA / $30 non-MA. Boat launch allows cartop and small craft; outboards are capped at 10 HP.

Getting there
From Route 2 in Winchendon, take Route 202 north and follow DCR signs for Lake Dennison Recreation Area. Enter the main gate, pay the day-use fee at the contact station, then continue to the beach lot for the lifeguarded swim area and cartop launch.
