Lake Wyola State Park — the Carroll A. Holmes Recreation Area — is a DCR day-use park on the north shore of Lake Wyola in Shutesbury, at 94 Lakeview Road. The beach is lifeguarded 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with beach wheelchairs, picnic grills, and a volleyball court. The public boat launch is a separate DCR site at 32 Randall Road.

Getting there
From Route 202 in Shutesbury, follow Wendell Road to Lakeview Road and the signed entrance at 94 Lakeview Road. For the boat ramp, stay on Randall Road to 32 Randall — that ramp is a separate DCR facility, not the beach entrance.
