At a glance
Overview
Quinsigamond State Park has two DCR sites on Lake Quinsigamond: Regatta Point in Worcester — the active swim beach with lifeguards in season and a 2,000-meter rowing course — and Lake Park in Shrewsbury, where the beach is being permanently closed and replaced with a lakefront overlook and a spray deck. For swimming, head to Regatta Point; for rowing and sailing events, both sites show up on the schedule.

Getting there
For the active swim beach, use the Regatta Point entrance off Lake Avenue in Worcester — follow DCR signs past the boathouse to the beach lot. The Lake Park site in Shrewsbury (off North Quinsigamond Avenue) is being reworked; do not plan on swimming there.
