At a glance
Overview
Windsor State Forest's swim area is a dammed stretch of the Westfield River off River Road in Windsor — a separate site from Windsor Jambs farther up the forest. DCR manages a small sand beach, picnic tables, and toilets. No lifeguards. Flow is river-driven and cold; expect faster water and limited visibility after rain. The campground is listed as closed to camping as of recent DCR notices — day-use only for now.
