Overview
Chesterfield Gorge is a narrow granite gorge cut by the East Branch of the Westfield River, on a Trustees of Reservations property in West Chesterfield. A short path from the gravel lot on River Road leads to overlooks along the rim. Pool and current are strong below, and climbing into the gorge is not allowed. Swimmers head upstream on the East Branch from the gate on River Road, where the fly-fishing-only corridor opens up.

From Route 143 in West Chesterfield, turn onto River Road and follow it to the Trustees' Chesterfield Gorge parking area. The overlooks are within a few hundred feet of the lot.
