At a glance
Overview
Sages Ravine Upper Falls is a cascade stretch on Sages Ravine Brook along the Appalachian Trail between Mount Washington, MA and Salisbury, CT. It is a long walk-in — most visitors approach on the Undermountain Trail / AT from the Connecticut side rather than from the Mount Washington road end. Treat it as a viewing stop on an AT through-section, not a roadside swim.

Getting there
Most visitors reach Sages Ravine from the Connecticut side via the Undermountain Trail off Route 41 in Salisbury, CT, then north on the Appalachian Trail. The MA-side approach is a longer walk from the Mount Washington State Forest end. Stay on the AT footpath; the ravine walls are steep and the brook is rocky.
