At a glance
Overview
South Hadley Falls is the historic rapids on the Connecticut River at the Holyoke Dam, between South Hadley and Holyoke. Most of the drop is controlled by the dam and the Holyoke canal system today. The best public view is from the Robert Barrett Fishway visitor site on the Holyoke side or from the bridge between the two towns. It is a dam and industrial-heritage stop, not a natural free-flowing falls.
