The Cascade in North Adams is a roughly 30-foot drop on Notch Brook, reached by a short but rocky walk up from the end of Marion Avenue / Cascade Street. The falls sit in a cool hemlock ravine below the approach to Mount Greylock's east side. It is a free, locally-walked path — viewing is the point; the pool below is small and rocky, not a swim.

Getting there
Drive to the end of Marion Avenue in North Adams (off Reservoir Road / Route 2) and park along the street where posted. Pick up the worn path at the end of the road and follow Notch Brook upstream to the falls.
