Overview
Rocky Gorge Scenic Area is a classic WMNF stop on the Kancamagus Highway in Albany — the Swift River cuts a narrow, polished gorge between smooth granite walls, with a short paved path, a pedestrian bridge across the gorge, and a loop down to nearby Falls Pond. The gorge itself is posted no swimming and has a documented fatality history from slips and jumps; swim use is limited to the upstream and downstream pools (separate listing). WMNF recreation pass required.
