Overview
Thompson Brook Pool is a small, quieter pool below Thompson Falls on the west side of Wildcat Mountain in Pinkham's Grant. The same short trail used for Thompson Falls leads here - about a mile out-and-back from the Wildcat Ski Area lot - and the pool is near the base of the cascade run. Cold mountain water, slick wet rock, and modest depth mean it is a cool-off stop, not a real swimming hole.

Getting there
From NH 16 in Pinkham Notch, turn into the Wildcat Mountain Ski Area and park in the main lot. Cross the footbridge near the base lodge and follow the Way of the Wildcat / Thompson Falls Trail about 0.5 mile to the falls; the pool is near the base.
