Green's Grant, New Hampshire
An 80-ft two-tier waterfall on the Ellis River ~0.3 mi up the Tuckerman Ravine Trail from Pinkham Notch Visitor Center.
At a glance
Overview
Crystal Cascade is a striking 80-foot two-tier waterfall on the Ellis River just above the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, ~0.3 mile up the Tuckerman Ravine Trail from NH 16. The approach is a steady climb on well-worn rock; a railed overlook gives the best view. It's one of the easiest big-waterfall payoffs in the Whites — a ~30-minute round trip from the AMC lot — and it also serves as the opening act for anyone heading higher up Tuckerman toward the headwall.
