Falls on the Basin-Cascades Trail
Lincoln, New Hampshire
A ~2 mi RT Franconia Notch hike past Kinsman Falls and Rocky Glen Falls on the Basin-Cascades Trail from I-93.
At a glance
Overview
The Basin-Cascades Trail in Franconia Notch is a short, high-reward loop-style hike from The Basin parking area on I-93 — a glacially carved pothole — up along Cascade Brook past Kinsman Falls and Rocky Glen Falls. The full round trip to Rocky Glen is ~2 miles with modest elevation gain. It's one of the best short-hike waterfall combinations in the state, best in moderate-to-high flow. The loop can be slippery on wet granite; footing matters here.
