Lincoln, New Hampshire
A ~3.2 mi RT Franconia Notch hike past Stairs, Swiftwater, and Cloudland Falls on the Falling Waters Trail.
At a glance
Overview
The Falling Waters Trail in Franconia Notch passes three named waterfalls — Stairs Falls, Swiftwater Falls, and Cloudland Falls — on the way up Dry Brook toward Little Haystack Mountain. As a waterfall-only out-and-back to Cloudland it's about 3.2 miles round trip; most hikers continue onto the Franconia Ridge Loop. Trail is steep above Stairs, slippery on wet granite, and reads best with moderate to high flow.
