Kinsman Falls is a pretty stepped cascade on Cascade Brook in Franconia Notch, ~0.3 mile up the Basin-Cascades Trail from The Basin parking area on I-93. It's the first named fall on the route, best in moderate flow. Most hikers continue another 0.3 miles upstream to Rocky Glen Falls or higher toward Kinsman Pond. Easy reach, but the polished brookside granite is slick when wet.

From I-93 Franconia Notch Parkway at The Basin parking area, walk past The Basin pothole and pick up the Basin-Cascades Trail upstream along Cascade Brook. Kinsman Falls is about 0.3 mile up.
