Access is via the Lower Purgatory Falls Trail from a signed trailhead on Center Road — about a 0.8-mile round-trip walk to a striking chasm with vertical rock walls and a drop into a dark green pool. Paired with Middle and Upper Purgatory Falls upstream on the same brook for a full Purgatory Brook day. Pool is cold and rocky; stay off the wet ledge above the chasm.
