At a glance
Overview
Purgatory Falls here refers to the Middle Purgatory Falls drop on Purgatory Brook in Lyndeborough, the middle and most dramatic of the three Purgatory Falls on the Lyndeborough / Mont Vernon / Milford line — a ~40-foot drop into a shady amphitheater. The Forest Society owns much of the Purgatory Brook corridor. Short approach from the Purgatory Road / Brook Road trailhead; rock is slick, the plunge pool is small and flow-dependent.
