Zealand Falls
Bethlehem, New Hampshire
A classic White Mountains slab waterfall at AMC Zealand Hut, ~5 miles round trip on the Zealand Trail.
At a glance
Overview
Zealand Falls is a classic White Mountains waterfall on Whitewall Brook at Zealand Hut, reached by the Zealand Trail from the Zealand Road trailhead — a gentle ~2.5 mile one-way walk (roughly 5 miles round trip) on an old railbed grade, then a short final climb to the hut and falls. The falls slide across broad open granite slabs next to the AMC Zealand Hut, with a long classic White Mountain ridgeline view from the slab. One of the most rewarding day-hike waterfalls in the Whites for the effort. Zealand Road closes in winter.
