Overview
Chapman Pond (sometimes Burden's Pond) is a 164-acre DEM fishing-access pond in Westerly, reached off Larry Hirsch Lane across from the Westerly Animal Shelter. The site has a gravel lot, a cement-plank boat ramp, and a solar boat-wash station to slow invasive plants (American lotus, water chestnut, Eurasian watermilfoil). Motor limit is 10 HP; DEM manages it for Northern Pike. No designated swim — shoreline is ramp and fishing-centric.
