The George Washington Memorial State Management Area is a roughly 4,000-acre RI DEM property on Bowdish Reservoir in Chepachet. It has a primitive RI State Parks campground (about 45 sites plus two Adirondack shelters), a sand swim beach on the reservoir, a hand-carry boat launch, and the Walkabout Trail system (2, 6, and 8-mile loops) that carries a segment of the North-South Trail.
