At a glance
Overview
Georgiaville Pond is a Smithfield town-beach pond on the Woonasquatucket River, held back by the Georgiaville Dam. The beach is off Stillwater Road with a lot, boat ramp, and seasonal lifeguards; daily and seasonal passes are required. The pond has had recurring cyanobacteria closures in recent summers, and the swim out to the island is a documented drowning risk — stay in the marked swim area.
