Overview
Slacks Pond (also Slack Reservoir) is a Smithfield-Johnston reservoir whose town-run Greenlake Beach at 22 Greenlake Drive is open to Smithfield residents only. The rest of the shoreline is owned and regulated by the Slacks Reservoir Association. In recent summers, RI DEM and the Department of Health have posted cyanobacteria advisories on the reservoir — always check for harmful algae bloom alerts before any water contact.
