Overview
Tillinghast Pond Management Area is a preserve in West Greenwich co-managed by The Nature Conservancy, RI DEM, and the West Greenwich Land Trust. About 13 miles of blazed loops (Pond, Flintlock, Coney Brook, Wickaboxet, Bates) wind through forest, glacial boulder gardens, and historic cellar holes. It is a hike, paddle, and fish destination — swimming is not a sanctioned use. Main parking is at 100 Plain Road; satellite lots at 600 Plain Meetinghouse Road and 150 Hazard Road. Leashed dogs welcome; wear blaze orange in hunting season.

Getting there
Main trailhead is at 100 Plain Road, West Greenwich. The white-blazed Pond Loop circles Tillinghast Pond in about 2.3 miles, with an observation platform. Satellite lots at 600 Plain Meetinghouse Road and 150 Hazard Road pick up the Flintlock, Coney Brook, and Wickaboxet loops.
