At a glance
Overview
Pawtuxet Falls sits at the mouth of the Pawtuxet River in Pawtuxet Village, spanning the Cranston / Warwick line at the Broad Street bridge. The 1924 concrete Pawtuxet Falls Dam was removed in 2011, restoring a natural set of rapids and a short drop and reopening roughly seven miles of river to migrating herring, shad, and eel. View the falls from the bridge and the small village park on either bank.
