Overview
Ponaganset Falls is a roadside dam-and-cascade at the southeast end of Barden Reservoir, along Hemlock Road in the Clayville village of Scituate. The drop comes off a low dam as the Ponaganset River exits the reservoir, viewable directly from the road. No hike required — it is among the easiest waterfall stops in Rhode Island.

Getting there
From Route 102 in Clayville, take Hemlock Road south. The falls are visible along the road at the southeast end of Barden Reservoir; pull onto the gravel shoulder when you can see the dam and drop. Do not block the road.
