At a glance
Overview
Wolf Hill Quarry Falls is a seasonal cliff-face cascade in an old quarry adjacent to the Wolf Hill Forest Preserve in Smithfield. It is not on the preserve's official trail maps — the water drip-curtains down a high quarry wall and only shows after rain or snowmelt. Access is from Mountaindale Road; expect to hunt a bit and stay back from loose edges at the quarry lip.

Getting there
Park at the Wolf Hill Forest Preserve lot near 261 Mountaindale Road in Smithfield. The official preserve trails do not lead to the quarry falls — follow local knowledge from informal side paths toward the old quarry. The cliff face is tall and crumbly, so stay well back from the upper edge.
