Getting there
From US Route 7 / US 7A in Arlington, take VT 313 west about 4.5 miles into West Arlington. Turn left onto Covered Bridge Road at the green, use one of the small roadside pull-offs on either side of the Arlington Green Covered Bridge (Bridge at the Green), then walk a very short distance down to the Batten Kill on the downstream side. The popular jumping area is at the base of the bridge's abutment; swimming pockets run along the bank in both directions.
