Getting there
On US Route 2 in Moretown, the access sits just west of the Winooski River bridge and the state highway garage, immediately below the confluence where the Mad River enters the Winooski. Pull in through the curb cut, use the parking loop, then walk the short path through the hayed field down to the river frontage (about 1,013 feet of protected shoreline). The bank is steep and can be slippery.
