Use the Branbury State Park entrance at 3570 Lake Dunmore Road in Salisbury. From Middlebury, head 7 miles south on US 7, then 4 miles south on VT 53. Pay the day-use fee at the contact station and follow park signs to the 1,000-foot natural sandy beach on Lake Dunmore's eastern shore.

Parking notes: Official state-park day-use lot with bathhouse and restrooms. Park is open from the second weekend in May through the second Monday in October, 10 AM to sunset.
