Getting there
Congdon's Point is an unofficial, unmarked swim / sunbathing access on Chittenden Reservoir in the Green Mountain National Forest. Drive to the paved public boat launch and parking area off Chittenden Dam Road (Chittenden, Rutland County). At the top of the boat ramp, look for a bar gate on the right; an unmarked footpath starts about 0.1 miles behind that gate and leads north along the shoreline to the point. Trails around the reservoir can be faint or confusing -- download offline maps before you arrive and expect little to no cell service.
