Getting there
The 'Derby Beach House' listing at 480 4-H Road is not a verifiable public facility. The 4-H Road corridor in Derby Center runs along Lake Salem and is made up primarily of PRIVATE cottages and deeded lakefront homes -- several cottages use 'Beach House' in their branding but are paid vacation rentals, not town beaches. The Town of Derby's public swim beach for most visitors is Prouty Beach on Lake Memphremagog (in Newport/Derby), not Lake Salem. Treat this guide as unverified public access; do not route walk-ins to 4-H Road addresses without explicit permission from the owner.
